I am always adding to, taking away and changing what is at the table - to keep things fresh so when Educational Insights asked me to review their Smens Scented Pens - I jumped at the chance.
What are Smens Pens?
They are gourmet scented pens made from recycled newspapers.
We received a 10 pack with scents which included Red Licorice, Creamsicle, Aloha, Mystery Scent, Banana FoFana, Mocha, Passion Fruit, Ninja Berry, Pink Lemonade, and Black Licorice. Each Smen came individually wrapped in a stay-fresh biodegradable plastic tube and is guaranteed to keep its scent for two years (when stored properly).
I love that they are made using recycled newspaper and biodegrable plastic. The Lil Divas loved how they smelled! They sniffed every pen (over and over again) and got a kick out of how they left their paper smelling so fruity and delicious.
They loved it so much we decided to use them to make Father's Day cards! The only complaint the Lil Divas had was that they do not have colored ink to match their fruity scents - they were all black pens. We had to use our crayons and markers to jazz up our cards but they really do smell terrific thanks to our Smens Pens. I'm sure Daddy will be pleased with his sweet smelling cards this year.
I wish I had known these even existed - I would have definitely gotten the Lil Divas the Smencils Colored Pencils for our writing area! These are scented and colored pencils - how perfect for creating masterpieces! Those are definitely now on our wish list.
