The SUnday Showcase
We are so excited to bring this Craft Linky Party to you! Since this is our official launch you probably have a few questions about what we are doing here. Hopefully the guidelines provided below will answer your questions.

What is The Sunday Showcase?
Quite simply The Sunday Showcase is a linky party where you are invited to share crafts and activities that you do with your children and/or students. We have started this linky party so that creative Mom and teachers would have a place to come together and "showcase" their awesome crafts & activities and find other great ideas as well.

How do I participate in The Sunday Showcase?
It's easy - simply link-up the post you want to showcase using our linky below. We ask that you link to the actual post so that your craft can be easily accessed in the future from anyone that visits via our party.

What are the Guidelines?
We want this to be fun and easy but there are a few simple rules to ensure that it is fun for everyone! Please keep it family friendly, child-centered, and please link back to our post (either with a quick text link or via our button) within your post and link to an actual craft or activity! Giveaway linkys or inappropriate posts will be deleted! We appreciate you linking back to us as this helps our linky party grow which means more sharing & more wonderful ideas for all of us!

How can I get "Featured"?
Post your fabulous craft/activity and include our handy-dandy button in the post for a chance to be one of our 3 featured weekly crafts.

The Sunday Showcase Feature
Now that the logistics are out of the way (PHEW!) let's move on to the fun stuff!

Here are this weeks "Showcase" crafts by your Hostesses:

Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas - Crafting & Learning with The Very Hungry Caterpillar

It's impossible to do a Caterpillar Theme and not incorporate Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar. There is just so much to do and learn with this book and my full post goes into that in more detail!

We also made our own Very Hungry (Egg Carton) Caterpillars that we'd like to share with you:

This is a fun and easy way to extend the story with a hands-on craft.

This is a great project to do with your children (students) to teach them about the life cycle of a butterfly. Compliment this craft with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle and you have a lesson that will encompass:
  • The life Cycle of the Butterfly: Egg --> Larva (Caterpillar) --> --> Cocoon --> Butterfly
  • Days of the Week
  • Counting
  • Art: symmetry
  • Fine Motor: cutting, painting
  • as well as following directions

Classified: Medium and is great for children 3 and up.
